Physician Signature Not Required


Axxess Hospice now enables users to mark orders as No Physician Signature Required and Do Not Send.


To view and manage orders in Orders Management, users must have permission to view, add, and edit orders in Axxess Hospice.

Orders Management Permissions


To give a user permission to view and manage orders, edit the user’s profile and navigate to the Permissions tab. In the Clinical section, select View, Add and Edit next to the Orders permission. Click Save to finish granting the permissions to the user.


No Physician Signature Required/Do Not Send


Orders marked as No Physician Signature Required will not be tracked for a return signature but will still go through the normal QA process. Once approved, the order will flow to the To Be Sent screen. Once the order is sent, the order status will update to Order Received.


When an order does not have to be sent to the physician, it can be completed by the user.


Orders marked as Do Not Send will not be sent to the physician or allow orders to be signed but will still go through the normal QA process. Once approved, the order will flow to the To Be Sent screen. Once the order is sent, the order status will update to Order Received. On the PDF version of the order, the user will see Coordination of Care – No Physician Signature Required.
