Eligibility Issues Report


The new Eligibility Issues Report in Axxess Hospice enables users to easily identify patient eligibility issues that could impact an agency’s ability to submit claims for a patient.


This report facilitates compliance with hospice billing guidelines and streamlines operations by highlighting eligibility issues in the billing workflow. Using this report, agencies can optimize cash flow and protect revenue by easily identifying and addressing issues that could result in claim rejection or payment denial.


To generate the Eligibility Issues Report, users must have permission to view billing and financial reports.

Billing/Financial Report Permissions


To give a user permission to view billing and financial reports, edit the user’s profile and navigate to the Permissions tab. In the Reports section, select View next to the Billing and Financial Reports permission. Click Save to complete the process.

Eligibility Issues Report


To view the Eligibility Issues Report, navigate to the Report Center under the Reports tab. In the Billing and Financial Reports section, select Eligibility Issues.

The Eligibility Issues Report shows a list of any eligibility issues for active patients in the agency. Issues may include:

  • Medicare as a Secondary Payer (MSP)
  • Overlapping Home Health
  • Overlapping Hospice


The report also provides NPI numbers for home health or hospice agencies with overlapping benefits.


The results of the report can be updated by adjusting the filters at the top of the screen. Filter the report data as desired using the Branch, Patient and/or Payer menus.


To export a copy of the report to Excel, click the Export button in the top right corner of the report screen.
