Benefit Period Adjustment for Recertification Reporting

Axxess Hospice now enables organizations to choose which benefit period should pull to the Patients Dashboard and Recertifications Due report. This enhancement helps users ensure accurate recertification reporting.

To select a benefit period for recertification reporting, users must have permission to manage benefit periods in Axxess Hospice.

Manage Benefit Period Permission

To give a user permission to manage benefit periods, edit the user’s profile and navigate to the Permissions tab. In the Clinical section, select View and Edit next to the Manage Benefit Period permission. Click Save to finish granting the permission to the user.

Recertification Reporting in the Benefit Period Manager

Once a user has permission to manage benefit period information, a new Reporting header will appear in the Benefit Period Manager.

Patients tab ➜ Benefit Period Manager ➜ View Details

Under Reporting, a green check mark will appear next to the benefit period used for reporting. To use a different benefit period for recertification reporting, click Edit and select Use for Recertification Reporting.

The selected benefit period will pull to the Recertifications Due report in the Report Center. Previous benefit periods will not be included in the report.
