Axxess Hospice now provides a General Inpatient and Continuous Care Center under the Centers tab. This centralized view helps teams manage patients who require higher levels of care by bringing bed assignments, staff allocation, and care locations into one streamlined workspace.
The center displays patients in General Inpatient and Continuous Care levels of care by default, and dynamic filters allow users to view patients across selected levels of care, service locations, and facilities or home settings. Users can also assign or reassign beds and specialty team members directly from the center.
To support recurring workflows, users can save commonly used filter combinations.
Additionally, a new General Inpatient and Continuous Care Center Report provides detailed insights into bed utilization, staffing, and patient distribution, enabling data‑driven decisions and more efficient care delivery.
Users must have permission to view the General Inpatient and Continuous Care Center in Axxess Hospice.
To give a user permission to access the General Inpatient and Continuous Care Center, edit the user’s profile and navigate to the Permissions tab. In the Clinical section, select the checkbox next to General Inpatient and Continuous Care Center and click Save to finish granting the permission to the user.

To access the General Inpatient and Continuous Care Center, navigate to the Centers tab and select General Inpatient and Continuous Care Center.

The filters at the top of the screen enable users to filter patients by branch, level of care, service location, team, facility name, and/or custom filters.

To create a custom filter, select the desired filter options and click the green save icon.

Rather than a date filter, this screen displays only patients who are active at the time the user is viewing the center according to the filters selected.
The three widgets at the top of the screen are:
Patients by Service Location
Census by Level of Care
Patients by Facility or Home

To assign beds, nurses, aides, social workers, and/or chaplains, click the Assign button next to the desired patient. If an assignment has already been made, clicking the three-dot menu on the right-hand side of the screen and select Update Bed or Adjust Assignments from the drop-down menu.

To access the General Inpatient and Continuous Care Center Report, navigate to the Report Center under the Reports tab. In the Patient Reports section, select General Inpatient and Continuous Care Center Report.
