To comply with the latest Florida HHAeXchange (HHAX) v5 EDI requirements, Axxess Home Health has introduced mandatory fields that require users to document both a missed visit reason code and a missed visit action code whenever a visit is marked as missed for any patient whose payer is configured for the HHAX V5 FL export. This enhancement ensures compliance with Florida Medicaid requirements, preventing claim delays and rework associated with incomplete files.
To mark a visit as missed, navigate to the Schedule tab at the top of the screen and select My Schedule/Tasks from the drop-down menu. Select the desired missed visit and click Missed Visit Form.
On the Missed Visit screen, select a Missed Reason Code and a Missed Action Code from the drop-down list.
Sample reason codes include: 1-Provider Cancellation, 2-Provider No-Show, 3-Enrollee Cancellation and 8-Other.
Sample action codes include: 1-Contingency Plan, 2-Rescheduled and 6-Other.
If Other or COVID-19:Other is selected as a reason or action code, a comment is required.
Once submitted, the missed visit records will appear in the organization’s generated HHAX v5 file, flagged appropriately for Florida Medicaid compliance.
