The agency must add the physician to the system.
Go to the Create tab, click New and then choose Physician.
Enter the physician’s NPI number into the system. When you see the physician’s name, click on it.
The physician’s information will be pulled into the system. Verify that the information is accurate.
Enter the physician’s email address and check the box (Grant Physician Access), then SAVE.
Once the physician’s information has been confirmed and saved, the physician will receive an email from Axxess with a link to the AxxessMD.com portal.
The physician will click on the link and create a password in the portal, which will give him/her access to the orders that are pending his/her signature.
For now, a physician does not have access to the entire patient record from the physician portal.
The systems administrator can grant a physician access to your entire patient records by adding them as a regular user; however, an email address that is different from the one used for the physician portal will need to be used.
The physician will receive an email from Axxess’ Home Health solution. The email notification includes a link that enables the physician to log in to the physician portal (axxessmd.com) and view all the outstanding orders that need to be reviewed.
A physician can also log in periodically to view orders that need to be reviewed and signed.
