Service Locations


Axxess Palliative Care now provides a Service Locations section in Company Setup that enables organizations to identify the locations where they provide service. The service locations selected in Company Setup will populate in the Service Location menu on patient charts and visits, so users can select only from allowed service locations.


This enhancement streamlines operations and helps organizations ensure the correct service locations populate on claims.


To identify the organization’s service locations, users must have permission to view and edit Company Setup in Axxess Palliative Care.

Service Locations in Company Setup


To identify the locations where your organization provides service, navigate to Company Setup under the Admin tab. On the Financial and Billing tab, navigate to the Service Locations section.

All service locations in this section will be selected automatically. Deselect the boxes next to locations where your organization does not provide service to prevent those locations from appearing in the Service Location menu of patient charts and visits.


Click Save to finish identifying your organization’s service locations.


Patient Service Locations


A service location will be assigned to each patient once they are converted to Pending status. To view or change a patient’s service location, navigate to the patient’s chart under the Patients tab and click Edit Profile. On the Demographics tab, navigate to the Service Locations section.

To add a service location, click Add Service Location. The service locations selected in Company Setup will be available here for selection.


Visit Service Locations


When completing a visit, users will now see a Service Location field in the Visit Information section. If the location populated in the Service Location field is correct, click Confirm Service Location. If the location is incorrect, click Edit Service Location to update the location.


The service location documented in the visit will be assigned when a claim is generated for the patient. If a patient has multiple service locations in a claim period, individual claims will be created for each service location.
