FAQs for Organizations

How does Axxess CARE benefit my organization?

Axxess CARE solves scheduling and staffing challenges by connecting home healthcare organizations to qualified clinicians who are looking to pick up additional visits.

When your organization has a visit that needs coverage, Axxess CARE provides a network of clinicians who are qualified to fulfill your patients’ needs. If one of your employees calls in sick, leaves your organization unexpectedly or is otherwise unable to complete a visit, Axxess CARE helps you ensure that patients still receive the high-quality care they need.

Can Axxess CARE help me grow my business?

Yes. Axxess CARE enables organizations to grow business in new markets by accepting more referrals and connecting with qualified clinicians to cover visits in new areas.

Where do the clinicians on Axxess CARE come from?

Clinicians on Axxess CARE are employed by other home healthcare organizations who use Axxess software. Each clinician who signs up for Axxess CARE must undergo background, license and OIG checks before they can apply for visits.

How much information can I see about clinicians applying for my visits?

Organizations can review background, license and OIG checks, the clinician’s resume, skillset and health screenings before assigning a visit to an applying clinician. Organizations can also view five-star ratings and reviews for each clinician on Axxess CARE. Star ratings are generated based on reviews submitted by other home healthcare organizations that have worked with the clinician through Axxess CARE.

Does Axxess CARE have an electronic visit verification (EVV) component?

Yes. Electronic visit verification is built into the Axxess CARE mobile app, so organizations and users can see when each visit was started, completed and signed by the patient at the point of care.

Will Axxess CARE make it easier to keep clinicians from leaving my organization?

Yes. Allowing your clinicians to earn extra money through Axxess CARE is another benefit you are providing, just like health insurance or a 401k. Clinicians who leave an organization using Axxess CARE will no longer have access to its benefits. Giving your employees the option to earn extra money to supplement their income will make them happier and more likely to stay with your home healthcare organization.

Do the clinicians on Axxess CARE work for Axxess?

No. Axxess CARE is not a staffing organization. It is a software platform that helps connect Axxess client home healthcare organizations with qualified clinicians who want to earn extra money by completing visits that need coverage.

For tax purposes, how do I classify the clinicians I use through Axxess CARE?

Organizations can classify clinicians who fulfill their Axxess CARE visits as full-time (W-2) or contract (1099) employees. That agreement is between the home healthcare organization and the clinician and does not involve Axxess. Axxess CARE is simply the platform that connects organizations to clinicians to provide timely care. For additional information on tax documents, click here.

How do I provide information on an Axxess CARE clinician to a surveyor?

Axxess CARE enables organizations to print all information necessary to comply with surveyor requirements. To view and print documents and certifications requested by a surveyor, log in to Axxess CARE and navigate to the respective section.

Who sets the pay rates for the visits on Axxess CARE?

The pay rates for visits on Axxess CARE are designated by the home healthcare organization posting the visits. Your organization can modify visit pay rates any time by selecting Pay Rates under the Admin tab on the left-side menu in Axxess CARE.

Axxess CARE provides suggested pay rates for each visit type based on payment trends in your local area and minimum pay rates established based on extensive market research.

The suggested pay rates help your organization quickly meet staffing and scheduling needs and ensure that visits are posted at fair market value rates.

Some of the visits on Axxess CARE pay more than what I pay for the same visit. Why is that?

The free market determines the visit pay rates on Axxess CARE. Keep in mind not every visit subtracts the taxes, supply costs and overhead expenses that a home healthcare organization pays. Some rates may appear higher for this reason. Clinicians who accept a visit are still responsible for paying all appropriate taxes on that income unless they make a separate agreement with the home healthcare organization. Axxess is not a party to that agreement and not responsible for its contents.

How do I get started?
