Hospice Clinical Fundamental Certification Course
Prerequisites: There are no pre-requisites for this course.
The Axxess Hospice Clinical Fundamental Certification course will prepare direct care staff for a career as a professional hospice clinician while earning ...valuable continuing education credit. Participants will understand how to perform and document routine visits for terminally ill patients, infection control reports, incident reports, create individual plans of care, prepare and create IDG meetings, and create and update medication profiles as they become familiar with regulatory guidelines and the fundamental practices for caring for terminally ill patients. Upon successful course completion, nurses, therapists, social workers, chaplains, and home health aides will have the knowledge to perform certified routine visits using Axxess solutions.
Hospice Clinical Certification Course
Prerequisites: Axxess Hospice Clinical Fundamental Certification.
The Axxess Hospice Clinical Certification course will prepare admission staff for a career as a certified hospice admission professional, ...director of clinical services, clinical manager or clinical supervisor while earning valuable continuing education credits. Participants will understand how to perform the initial comprehensive assessment and complete the required documentation for the HIS data set while efficiently using Axxess software workflows. They will gain and understanding of the rationale for maintaining compliance with current regulatory standards. Hospice assessment staff will learn how to develop and lead IDG meetings and effectively document eligibility using Local Coverage Determinations (LCDs).
Operational
Hospice Operational Fundamentals Course
Prerequisites: There are no prerequisites for this course. The Axxess Hospice Financial Fundamentals course should be considered as a complement to learning.
The Axxess Hospice Operational Fundamentals course will prepare hospice administrative staff for a career as an intake coordinator, scheduler, office ...manager or orders management coordinator. Participants will understand how to process referrals ensuring all regulatory guidelines are met, schedule visits, prepare and transmit HIS files, track and prepare for IDG, and ensure proper orders management and face-to-face documentation.
Hospice Operational Certification
Prerequisites: Axxess Hospice Operational Fundamentals course. The Axxess Hospice Financial and Clinical courses should be considered as a complement to learning.
The Axxess Hospice Operational Certification will prepare hospice administrators and management staff for a hospice leadership career. ...Participants will develop operational excellence skills using Axxess Hospice software workflows and learn how to manage using reports to drive key business decisions. They will also gain skills to effectively lead and manage business operations, including scheduling, intake, orders management, IDG, volunteer services, timely HIS exports, and bereavement counseling.
Financial
Hospice Financial Fundamentals Course
Prerequisites: There are no pre-requisites for this course.
The Axxess Hospice Financial Fundamentals course will prepare billing administrative staff for a career as an office biller, HIS coordinator, ...document specialist or orders management coordinator. Participants will gain the skills necessary to ensure accurate and timely billing for Medicare, Medicare Advantage and commercial insurance claims for routine hospice, general inpatient hospice, respite care, continuous care, and service intensity add-on.
Hospice Financial Fundamentals Certification
Prerequisites: Axxess Hospice Financial Fundamentals course. Axxess Hospice Operational courses should be considered as a complement to learning.
The Axxess Hospice Financial Certification course will prepare billers, office managers, billing supervisors, financial analysts and controllers for ...a financial management career in hospice. Participants will understand how regulatory guidelines can impact and threaten hospice revenue and understand how operating margins are impacted by pharmacy, DME, and inpatient contracts. Additionally, they will understand the impact and implication for billing nursing home room and board, and the significance for Medicare part D billing as it relates to duplication of services.
Expert Axxess Hospice Certification
Prerequisites: At least 2 years of experience working with Axxess solutions and current advanced certification. Recommendations from hospice and Axxess industry leaders is strongly encouraged.
The Axxess Hospice Expert Certification course will prepare individuals for a career as an Axxess Informatic Clinical Specialist, Axxess ...Professional Consultant, Implementation Manager or Director, or onsite product manager. Participants will be given a test organization to build in the Axxess Hospice solution and will document and be tested on multiple items that will demonstrate deep knowledge of the clinical, operational, and financial functionality of the Axxess Hospice solution. The test is timed for 8 hours.
