Caregivers chose their profession to help people, to improve lives and to make a difference.. I have never met a caregiver who prefers documentation to providing care. However, documentation is an important part of the role and should be easy and quick to perform so the caregiver can get back to doing what they love and what the client needs.
Having an electronic medical record that is easy to use on the go is essential to keeping clients and caregivers happy, as well as keeping caregivers productive.
Document On the Go
Axxess Home Care has many types of assessments, evaluations, care plans and visit notes that are easy to document and help keep caregivers compliant.
There are multiple notes available to document from the mobile application, with more being added frequently. Axxess Home Care has also begun to make addenda that can be associated with assessments and visit notes and will be available to document from the mobile application.
Some of the recent addenda that are now available on mobile are:
- Physician Order
- Seizure Log
- Suction Log
- Supply Worksheet
- Narrative
- Oxygen Risk Assessment
- Fall Risk Assessment
These addenda will allow caregivers to quickly enter documentation from any mobile device, allowing them to get back to focusing on the client.
Addenda can be attached to any note with the appropriate permissions through “Company Setup” and found under the “Document Management” tab. Addenda that have been attached to a note will be visible in the last section of the note labeled “Addenda.”
More addenda will continue to become available for documentation from the mobile application.
