In the previous posts in this series, we have introduced the scoring for Home Health CAHPS and how it is comprised of three composite and two global scores, and reviewed the questions and potential improvements to the composite questions for the Home Health CAHPS measures for Care of Patients and Communications Between Providers and Patients. In this article, we will review the individual questions and improvements in the Specific Care Issues composite.
As indicated in other blogs, please remember these improvement suggestions are for working with staff in your organization to mutually work on innovative methods for improving the scores and not intended to be used for coaching patients on answering in a particular manner.
In the next and final entry in our Home Health CAHPS score improvement series, we will present opportunities to improve in the questions associated with the Home Health CAHPS survey in the composite for Global Ratings.
