Today, Axxess once again led the exhibitors as a lead sponsor for the “By The Numbers: Coding in 2012” seminar, a learning event held by the Texas Association for Home Care and Hospice held on Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at the Marriott Hotel Northwest in San Antonio, Texas. The theme of the event was regarding the essential knowledge needed to master common coding, specific systems, disease processes, and increased knowledge of coding conventions and guidelines. Coding changes published in the 2012 PPS Final Rule, such as the removal of 2 hypertension codes from the case mix list, recalibration of the case mix weight table, and the deceleration of high therapy reimbursement was covered. Tricia A. Twombly, BSN, RN, HCS-D, HCS-O, CHCE, COS-C, Senior Education Consultant/Director Coding Services was the key speaker/trainer. Over 125 home health professionals attended the event.
As the major sponsor and exhibitor, Axxess occupied a commanding presence so that the industry’s leading comprehensive home health software, Agencycore, could be easy viewed by all event participants. A large number of those who attended were able to interact with Agencycore, many commented that they were amazed when they saw how user friendly the software is and how much time and money the software will save them.
Attendees at the training seminar participated in an Axxess-sponsored raffle drawing held at the 2:00pm break time during the event. The winner, Jan Ungacta, RN BS CWS COS-C HCS-D of Aegis Home Care Resources in Central Texas was selected by special drawing conducted by TAHCH officials. Jan was not only excited to be the winner of the 32 inch Samsung LCD Flatscreen TV, but also was most pleased to be able to experience a demonstration of the Agencycore platform. She and Trish Turpinseed, RN, her business associate in the home health consulting firm they operate in Austin and San Antonio, spent considerable time reviewing the Agencycore features and functionality.

Additionally, beginning again in February 2012, Axxess is conducting an ongoing raffle whereby Facebook users can “like” the company’s User Community page and automatically be placed in a drawing to win an iPad2, Samsung Android tablet or 32 inch flat screen TV at the end of the month.
