I'm really trying to use Axxess Mobile and the EVV, I really think the home health industry is heading towards this no matter how we are looking at it from all angles.
When using the app and doing my visit note and then loading my previous notes, the Wound Care Flowsheet does NOT carry over, and I'd have to manually put in that info on a browser.
EVV, when patient's are signing the touch screen: There are buttons, "Clear Signature" and "Verify Visit" and patient's always touch the screen with their palms first as if they are writing on a table top. I suggest those buttons to be on the top and out of the way of being accidentally touched.
What's also helpful since many patient's have trouble seeing, is to have a dark line as a guide to write their signature. You have to be in the box to start and many patients are missing the box also accidentally touching those bottom buttons.
Sometimes the EVV does not get saved, I have them sign, but come to find out later that the signed verified was not saved, so it failed to save the EVV, if there are glitches in that app or network or hardware device, there is an issue there somewhere.
What's really awful is that I'm noticing that as a nurse I am now paying attention to my phone or device more now while in the patient's home and already heard of a complaint on that with another nurse. So being conscious of that behavior in front of the patient is very important in this over-regulated need of having our documentation completed.
Otherwise seems to be OK I will definitely mention more later.
