I’m waiting on the same thing. I’m glad to see your post here though. I posted made a post that was critical of how poorly Axxess functions in the field and the limited functionality on a smart phone but I guess the moderators didn’t like that and never published my post.
Their answer to me? Access Axxess using an ipad or laptop in the field. First of all, we can’t afford to outfit all our staff with ipads and laptops, but even if we did, it would be cost prohibitive to pay for data plans for all those devices. I don’t think that Axxess realizes that we don’t just see upper-middle class patients all day. A large majority of patients we see do not have wifi for our clinicians to connect to. Therefore we have them collect EVV and attempt to chart on their phones. This is clunky and inefficient due to the fact that the site does not have a feature for mobile browsing.
How has your company dealt with this inconvenience? How are your clinicians charting and accessing information out in the field?
