Axxess Partners with Kennedy-Curry Middle School in Dallas ISD; Donates School Uniforms for 100 Boys and Girls

DALLAS (January 21, 2015) – Axxess, an industry leader in home health management software, presented Principal Dennis Taylor of Kennedy-Curry Middle School with 100 uniforms for boys and girls yesterday. Kennedy-Curry is part of the Dallas Independent School District (Dallas ISD) and is a Title 1 federally funded campus.  Located in South Dallas, it is comprised of approximately 800 students in grades 6 – 8.

In October 2014, John Olajide, President and CEO of Axxess participated in the Principal for a Day program, sponsored by the Dallas ISD and the Dallas Regional Chamber.  Principal for a Day brings community and business leaders into schools across the district to help increase awareness of strengths and challenges of public schools and create opportunities for ongoing partnerships with businesses.

As part of the Principal for a Day program, Olajide and Kennedy-Curry Principal Dennis Taylor discussed various needs of the school.  The school’s administration determined their greatest immediate need was for school uniforms, which are mandatory.  Uniforms are available at the Eagle’s Nest Resource Center, an on-campus resource for students to receive assistance with proper uniform attire and school supplies.  The resources are available at no cost to students or their families.

“We are always looking for ways to give back to a community that has given so much to us, therefore, when presented with the opportunity to partner with the Dallas Regional Chamber, the Dallas ISD, and other organizations in support of Principal for a Day, we gladly accepted,” said Olajide. “An important part of The Axxess Way is to invest in communities where we do business and partnering with schools such as Kennedy-Curry is one of the many ways we can help strengthen our community and invest in the future. The kids at Kennedy-Curry may have small feet, but we know they have big dreams,” Olajide added.

Principal Taylor believes that “addressing the needs of the whole child will lead to improved student achievement.” Axxess applauds Kennedy-Curry and Principal Taylor’s commitment to excellence in academics and looks forward to forging a long-term relationship to support additional programs that position students for a new world of possibilities.
